A Summer by the Sea

All smiles!

Where I'll be working!

The past couple years I've been trying to make it out to Massachusetts to work for a summer. Well it finally happened! A few recruiters from a resort on Nantucket came to my town, so I went and applied, and a week later they called me to tell me that I'm hired! Now I'm waiting for more information in the mail, and trying to figure out the employee housing. I won't know anyone, I have never been to Nantucket before, and it will be the longest I have been away from home. Luckily, I don't get homesick easily, so that won't be a problem. I'll need to find a solid group of friends to go out with, relax on the beach with, and eat meals with (employee food court requires friends, I don't want to be a loser eating alone in the dining hall!), but I think it will all work out. I leave in about three months and I am absolutely dying with excitement. I really need to start saving my money, since I'm usually not too good about that. And I've gotten so lazy with exercise and eating properly lately. If I'm going to be spending my whole summer on the beach (and you can bet that anytime I'm not at work or sleeping, I WILL be laying on the sand or playing in the waves), I should get back into my gym habits and start eating a little better. I don't need to go on a diet, but just change up a few things to look my best. I am so incredibly lucky they hired me, since they recruited in a number of states around the country. I finally made a dream/goal of mine come true!

Flag Gerlands!

Obsessing over how adorable these garlands are, I want to make some for my bedroom in my apartment.
